The problem concerning the UFC's stars that have made it big is that most of the fighters are at the point of not being able to fight any more. Chuck Liddell has been forced to retire, and for most fans, it is bittersweet.
With all this happening, there will be a new generation of fighters who will now emerge to take over.
Jon Jones, a light heavyweight fighter, is an upcoming and exciting fighter who has won the fans over because of his status as a junior college national wrestling champion.
A lightweight fighter who is known as "The Bully" has been unable to be stopped in his division. His real name is Gray Maynard. If he continues to improve his fighting skills with time, then he will continue to be extremely popular with the fans!
Another famous up-and-coming fighter is Matt Hughes. He was a well known state high school champion and also a collegiate All American. His career started with small fights but he has proven to be a crowd pleaser with his great strength in being able to pick up his opponents.
Some of the up-and-comers in the sport of light heavyweight fighters are not necessarily known as the best but have made their mark in this sport of fighting. A few to speak of are Frank Edgar, Rashad Evans, Jon Fitch, among many others.
It is true that when the "old" get too battered to continue the sport, there are always new and just-as-good men to follow in their shoes to do a good job!
